kmbrewer2 is correct that there are not a lot of subdivisions in this area. I took the OP's comment to mean nieghborhood though. Overall though the OP needs to understand this area is not like other parts of the country with large tract housing developments and that housing is very pricey. Jay

Hello !

Welcome in Connecticut. My husband also works in Witlon and we are renting in Fairfield which is a great city . Have you ever been there ??
We are French and have been living here from 1,5 year ... We were renting so far, but have now decided to buy a house (we LOVE the US). Then if you are still looking for a house for rent just let us now. It is a 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, in a very calm and safe area, with nice neighborhood (University area : eveybody will tell you that it is one of the best area in Fairfield).
The price is definitely lees than $4.000 and we are leaving at the end of August.

Let me know !
Best regards,

Damien

Just a word of advice, don't ever call Fairfield a "city" to any one that lives there. Even though it has about 56,000 people, it is considered a town and most people want to keep it that way. You will not find any high rise buildings and there are few apartment buildings. The form of government is a Board of Selectman which I believe has been that way since the town's founding over 360 years ago. Jay

So sorry Jay for that mistake because of my French/English. I agree, Fairfield is a town and not a city. For us, it is a perfect location to live !!!

Don't forget renting around the Candlewood lake area. Beautiful locations. You may find a newer build to rent round there as older cabins tend to get torn down and houses built when they come up for sale.
