I plan on making a stop here from Providence before heading back to PA next week. The brewery is going to be the stop , along with a brief walk down the frog bridge to stretch legs and snap pics of said amphibians.

Travel wise, I see that if I take CT 66 West it will take me over to I-691 and then 84. Don't want to deal with Hartford during the late afternoon. Would this alternate route be advisable.

If you are going to do that, after going over the river on RT66, grab RT9 North to 91 South and pick up 691. It's a touch longer distance wise, but all freeway vs RT66 in Middletown which is lights and traffic etc that can get pretty congested in the late afternoon.

Also, be advised that 84 tends to clog at the Waterbury line where it necks down to 2 lanes so you might hit some traffic there as well.

Enjoy Willibrew...they are a customer of mine, great place.

I've always enjoyed Willibrew. I like the fact that their menu is not straight out of the Sysco systems catalog.
