really any good music geek will do--

My problem:

-do not need the greatest most sophisticated CD/radio system in the world

--will not pay one penny more than necessary

--items available at Walmart or Target are not worth the investment of $01

--I need a piece of audio equipment that can overcome the mighty stations of the ATL--94.9 -The Bull and 750 AM--95.5 FM--the market is dominated by Cox broadcasting--i prefer other stations and in my house for whatever reasons all I can hear is what i do not want to hear

Name of manufacturer, model--that is all I want to know. Then I will search down a suitable merchant.

Generally, CD/AM/FM combos have terrible AM/FM sections. If you want a good radio, it's not going to come with a CD player. If you do want a good sounding table radio that gets good reception, search Amazon for the "Sangean" brand and check out the reviews for each model.

spanx--that is all i needed to know.

eta: 5 minutes from my house--Radio Shack--how interesting--they are not the greatest corporation and do not compete aggressively--so you will never find this sort of fyi in the ATL. wonderful customer service--so rare--so very rare. i will find a radio station that i like--the bull, indeed. based in San Francisco, studied the market of the ATL--and blast into my mind --advertising all day--they need to do additional market research--i won't help them -i can tell you that. i live in a different zip code from their target--cough- audience. play the tunes i like or don't waste my time.
