I've never ordered anything from these jerks. I spend a lot of time in my car, and listening to XM. The 'Healthy Man' commercials with that yahoo saying he got Viagra for only 99 dollars over and over and the way he pronounces dollars sounded like he was saying dough lars. It made me nuts, like nails on a chalkboard. One day, when I was feeling ornery I picked up the phone and dialed the 800 number to tell them to fire that voice man and get another. Dear gawd, what a mistake.

Every weekday 2-3 times a day, Hodgi calling and pestering. I've tried screaming into the phone, blocking the numbers, telling them to go away nicely, being rude, nothing works.

I want to understand something though. I'm in sales, I know what cold calls are like. They suck! So I just can't figure out with these yutzes continue doing this. You block 14 of their numbers, they add another. How does this help their business plan? Long distance isn't free, especially from India. If I'm cold calling trying to peddle my wares, the last thing I want to do is call hostile people that absolutely don't want to hear from me and want to rip my lungs out. My chances of actually selling something are like negative nil. Why? Why would I keep harassing the living hell out of people that made it crystal clear they aren't interested? How does that help my business?

I have the US Pharmacy's number 1-888-414-1786. Maybe we should all call them and keep their phones busy until they stop!

Default U. S. Pharmacy phone calls

How about a grass roots phone effort on our behalf. Call the India embassy in Wash, d.c. and tell them to get a handle on this issue as it is driving tens of thousands of Americans crazy and our government is helpless to do anything. Call them, fax them, let's do this. india embassy 202-939-7000 use *67. fax # is 202-265-4351

Really?! I am sure the Indian embassy is smart enough to ignore anonymous calls.

They dial my cellphone 4-8 times a day-- either "unknown" or random fake numbers from all across the United States. You are right-- there is NOTHING to keep them from harassing your cell phone every day. People from India ignore US DNC laws. I will never answer a number I don't em recognize anymore. If it's legit they will leave a message.

Why don't you just add every number they call you from to your blocked # list? Doesn't that work or do they get around it?

I had a telemarketer based out of TN that kept calling me. It was always one of four or five numbers that they used. I just logged into my cell phone acct and listed every number I had from them to be blocked. Never heard from them again.

Because they use too many numbers. Every time they call it's from a different one. I just ignore numbers I do not recognize now.

I have received multiple calls from different numbers, from telemarketers who are settling simpler products. The most recent ones have come from people saying "we hear that you are interested in furthering your education." After three calls in two weeks, I told the guy "I already have three masters degrees and two doctoral degrees, but I am very interested to hear what your agency can do for me. The guy bought the lie, and said "not much. Have a nice day." he hung up, and I have not heard anything since then. That was three months ago.

Last year, I got a series of calls from some agency who wanted to give me a "free" Caribbean cruise. During the most recent call, I did not hang up. Instead, I started crying, and said that my wife and I always wanted to go to the Caribbean since we got married 15 years ago. We had just saved up enough to do it. However, she was killed a week ago in an automobile accident. The caller got silent for a moment, gave me her condolences, and hung up. I have not heard from them again either. My wife laughed when I told her about the call that evening.

Instead of hanging up, try giving the caller a reason not to call you again.

This may have been posted earlier in this thread, but it's a good read. It explains how ignoring the call, hanging up, and/or bring rude to a telemarketer can increase your chances of being called again.
