Called the number back using ID Call block [*67] call was answered by same person who called. Phone now shows as Valid NYC Time-Warner Cable VOIP.

How to block as I am on a POTS copper landline?
This matter should be immediately reported to the police. His "sexually abusive language including threats to sodomize and rape my wife and daughter" would constitute terroristic threats, which is a felony in most states.

I would also report the matter to Time-Warner. They might be opposed to people using their service to threaten others in this manner.

they DO call cell numbers once they get them. They are harder to get because of not in a phone book, but both of our cell #s get at least 2-3 calls a day from them as "unknown" because you can't block it. One thing I do is put their numbers (yes they use the same spoofed ones for at least a while) into my contacts as "Trash US Pharm". For a couple of days I answer the calls with "I'm not interested in your scam" and hang up. Then later assign 'no ring' as their personalized ring tone. You can block unknown calls on a cell but doctors and police and others use that as a protective shield as well.

these scammers don't care about the police because they call from India using US web hosting so Time Warner might shut them down.

Default US Pharmacy

These people are contacting wether land line or not. Doesn't matter - once they have it they will call you 2-3 times a day. It's been years for me. This is frustrating because now i never answer the phone unless i know the person. I'm in sales so this sucks - for new customers have to leave a message and that means lost sales.

You cannot block a number or a series of numbers. They "Spoof" the caller id on their side. This should be fixed I don't know why the phone companies allow this!

I have tried the following:
a. Asked for to be on do not call list: Does not work
b. I have yelled profanity at them: Does not work
c. I have asked them to sell me illegal drugs
d. I have kept them on the phone asking questions for an hour with no intent to purchase
e. I answer the call put it on mute and turn down the volume and not say a word
f. Try to waste their time as much as possible

None if this has worked. I have contacted AT&T and there's nothing they can or want to to do about it.

Here's what I would like to do. If they are based in India - i would like to find a lawyer in India and put together a class action suite. Anyone game to this!

For the malicious callers....Tell them that you are taping the call. Just state matter of factually...."I need to make you aware that I am taping this call". They'll quit calling.
