ok I need info on this- Hughes Net wants 300.00 deposit for me to put an extra receiver for a tenant on one of my properties...

In this region I have either Comcast or Directtv...does anyone know what kind of options there are? I HATE calling "customer service" to price compare, since its usually a 3rd world country call center and they have no clue what I am asking....

Have you checked their website? Some companies give online special pricing.

Your post is confusing. Hughesnet is satellite INTERNET, Directv is satellite TELEVISION, Comcast cable would likely have both DSL internet and television. If the tenant needs both, Comcast would almost certainly be the cheapest option. Both Hn & Dtv have about a $60/mo minimum. Hn also limits bandwidth, which effectively prevents streaming, large downloads, and VOIP (due to latency issues).
