I see. 3 1/2 stars as opposed to 4 1/2.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really do appreciate it (as you can see by the time I'm posting, it's been a busy night here in Alzheimer Land ...). I think the Foscom is still coming out on top for one simple reason: It has a motion detector. Although both of the VideoSecu units would capture what I need to see (and the first one is DEFINITELY reasonably priced), the ability to have something which is motion activated AND which then sends me an immediate alert via email of movement from my Mom's bedroom is the one which will possibly allow me to have more sleep at nights. Kind of like an extra pair of eyes which actually nudges you awake!

I'm going to get the Christmas "spend" behind me and then look to make a purchase of the Foscam the first week of January. It will be abundantly clear to you guys whether or not I went with the Amazon seller (currently Prestige Milano) or directly through Foscam by whether or not you see me back on this forum pleading pitifully for set-up help!

Again, thanks to all of you for your input. It really is appreciated more than you will ever know.

You also misunderstood the page I linked to in my earlier post.

Where To Buy

Notice that under Amazon is listed "Movaro"

Official Foscam Fulfillment (Movaro) @ Amazon.com: foscam

and "CameraTec"

http://www.amazon.com/gp/shops/store...reative=390957

These are the "Official Foscam Fulfillment Storefronts" associated with Amazon and you need to buy from one of them to get the full support from Foscam.
