I tried to download some pictures to my computer and I got a measage that said..."Memory card is protected,Reset switch on memory card" How in the heck do I do that?
Thanks
On many of them there is a small switch on the top of the card. There's your standard pictographic explanation on most of them (padlock closed and or open) you may have accidentally flipped that small plastic slider to the locked setting while pulling out/ putting in your card.
I called our local Wal-Mart and ask the electronics dep. they didn't know. They tranferd me to the Photo lab. They didn't know either! Thats when I took a chance here. And... Wala!!! The Viking came through for me!

That's because at Wal-Mart in order to be an "electronics service rep", or whatever they call themselves, you must be able to breathe in, breathe out, and know where "the cable thingies" and "memory card thingies" are, and how to open the locked cases to hand people items that they point at. =P
That is what I work VERY hard to keep internalized every time a customer is explaining a problem, and then proceeds to tell me about what they have tried to fix it already. Many times their steps are prefaced with "The guy at Wal-Mart said" and it's SO hard not to laugh.
