Not sure if anyone can help me with this, but thought I would ask.

I have an old JVC receiver from the mid-90's that is connected to my TV. I run the audio out from my TV through this receiver to the speakers connected to this receiver.

I want to use headphones with my TV but I don't have any audio outputs from my TV (and I am not interested in TVears for various reasons).

But I just noticed...there is a place to plug in headphones into this receiver, but its a much larger sized hole than the one for most standard headphones, like the type used with Ipods.

I found this picture on the internet which shows the receiver- you can see the place to plug in headphones at the far right of the unit: JVC RX-317 Photo

So, my question is- is there some sort of adapter I could get to plug into this receiver that would convert to the size needed for my headphones (the standard size that can be put into an Ipod).

If anyone has ideas, I would greatly appreciate it! thanks!

Most decent headphones come with a 1/4 inch adapter for use on a home stereo... or you can simply buy a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch stereo adapter most anywhere.

Here's one for $1.59 http://www.amazon.com/RCA-Stereo-Hea...9021916&sr=1-9
