Hello all, I have recently noticed that the wifi signal on my cellphone is fine throughout my house, and I don't see any slowdowns or problems connecting anywhere, even when I am on the 2nd floor (our wireless router is in the basement).

However, the signal on the iPad is weak, and almost non-existent on the 2nd floor of the home.

Any idea why there would be a difference between the 2?

The type shouldn't make that much of a difference.
Ranges are pretty similar across all bands.

It's quite simply the one in your phone is better.
Why is a 4 cylinder Audi faster then a 4 cylinder Chevy?
Not everything is created equal.

Do you have the latest software on the iPad? Some times they release updates that can fix such issues.
