Kroger sells i-phones and if you register your sopping card with them you can get up to 40 free minutes every time you go grocery shopping.

However, if you try to do it on the phone itself, their web page, sometimes it doesn't register, so you have to dial 611 from the phone itself.

Its a pretty good deal esp. if you live in an area where you tend to shop at Kroger alot anyway. The phones are no contract, etc.

That is a pretty good deal. I wonder if there's a minimum amount you have to spend to get 40 free minutes. For example, if you stop by for some fruit on the way home would that entitle you to 40 free minutes?

This would be nice for some people. Or do separate transactions. Let's say you go twice in a day (you forget something). Can you get 80 minutes that day added?
