I've had one for years, put out by Sonic Care, but it has finally pooped out. Any comments? I'm not stuck on one brand, but I also don't care to spend 165 bucks on such a device...

Stick with SonicCare. Prices have dropped over the last decade.

Funny you should mention. We have had expensive ones in the past, but I recently bought a cheap (less than $5) 2 AA battery one at CVS and used a razor knife to chop down the head and bristles to the minimal one of the Braun style. DW and I can't discern any real difference between it and the expensive ones. YMMV

Phillips Sonic Care sell for two for $89 at Costco, in case that helps you.

Yep, I just took a quick look at a couple of drug stores. They hefty ones like the one I was using were from 63 dollars to over a 100 bucks.

What place were you talking about? One of those deals that is mail order, I guess? If it's like my dead one, I'm interested...

I figured you'd ask that! You have all the details I know. I don't remember the model or the website. I'm not in the market for one, so I deleted the email quickly, along with many others. Sorry.

No problem, I'll just use my friend, Google.

Changed it to another one that might be better for about 48 bucks, about what I paid for the one I had six years ago +change.
