OK all you techies out there, I need some advise of a good DIY surveillance system for my company. Note that what they have at Sams Club will not do the trick, please.

Most of the cameras will be out in all kinds of weather, so they need to be water proof. As of now we have 5 (failing) 10 yr old cameras and 3 indoor, but we want to up-grade to some of the newer products that I can install myself with a DVR recorder. And a system that I can add as many as 8 more when the time comes.

I would also like a system that I can sit at home (When needed) and watch whats going on from my home on my PC.

Any ideas? Mind you that I'm not a big techy and some of the terms they use go right over my head.

OK folks, just a heads up on the equipment. I found some on-line and its amazing the stuff it can do , to include my being able to sit at home after hours and watch whats going on at my office on my PC.
