My nephew erased my library in iTunes, but I still have my library in my iPod. I am afraid to sync for fear that I will erase everything in my iPod. I located the last iTunes library on my hard drive and imported it, but it's not completely updated to what I have on my iPod. Question: How do I get what is currently on my iPod into iTunes?

There are ways to do it; I'm not sure how since I've never had to, but I'd try to find an iPod message board and ask this question there.

Maybe you should call the Apple help line? Also, you can go to Mac.com and book a time at an Apple store near you. You could take in your iPod and get someone to help you in person. This may help you understand how not to recreate this problem in the future. Good luck - that's a frustrating situation to be sure!

If you are using Windows see if this can help:

How To: Move Music from iPod to PC in 5 Easy Steps | MakeUseOf.com

You should be able to do the something similar with a Mac.

Copying Songs from Your iPod to a Mac or PC (http://macs.about.com/od/ipod/a/copy_from_ipod.htm - broken link)

Maybe you could try and burn some songs from your iPOD onto a CD...and then put the songs on your computer?

I would just export songs from the iPod to a new folder and then drag it to iTunes

Mach50 ~ Thanks!!!!! This is the method that worked best for me. I had to recreate my playlists, but it wasn't difficult to do.
