The main reason I signed up for Sling was to still watch ESPN with the big satellite or cable bill. Disappointing. Like clockwork, every Saturday, the system is largely down on Roku and Xbox One. Still picks up lightly on iphone and ipad.

Does anyone get the feeling that Dish, who owns Sling, doesn't want to give the bandwidth to Sling users on football Saturdays for this service? I mean, realistically, it's lost revenue to them, as Sling users don't contribute nearly as much to the bottom line as a satellite subscriber. And let's face it, much of your satellite and cable bill is due to the high cost of ESPN....

Sling's apps for mobile are superior to what they have for streaming devices, so that does not surprise me. If Sling were not profitable I don't think that Dish would be in the business of offering that service. You're probably running into the fact that there might be more people accessing the stream for those sporting events. Sling has had bandwidth issues from the beginning.
