Not sure what i'm looking for but i do a lot of driving through very scenic roads, i'd like a device that can take 1-2 hour high quality videos of the road i'm driving on (while driving) with the idea of showing the videos to family and friends on laptop or tv at a later date. What very easy to operate device should i be looking for.?

Thanks

I did a quick look at dashcam, but they seem to over write their videos every 30 minutes.

Some of them are dependent on the size of the memory card. 32Gb - 14hrs then they overwrite.

GoPro and Sony both make small video cameras that will take 4K content. Maybe something like that with the appropriate mount? As for the typical dash cam? Maybe the quality isn't so good.

Get a GoPro or one of the knockoffs. I use one on my Jeep, will take 4 hours of HD video when I'm wandering around in the mountains here. Search eBay or Amazon for them.

Are we talking camcorders or dash cams? checked the gopro seems a bit pricey, anything you can recommend in the $100 range?

Search for Emerson dash cam. Similar to GoPro but around $40. I have one and the video quality is excellent, full HD.

The bigger the memory card you supply, the longer it can record without looping.
