I bought a 105 Darbee not too long ago after a lightning strike fried my first one along with my surround sound pre-amp. That was an expensive thunderstorm.

Ok, now that I have the source and the other stuff, anybody into hi res music?

I've been listening to Hot Stamper, MoFi and needle drop 24/192 res music on this system. It sounds freaking incredible. Anybody into this?

I have some high resolution FLAC files I downloaded from HD Tracks. They're on my computer, on a portable hard drive attached to the Oppo, and also on a drive attached to a Bryston player on a system in another part of the house. It all sounds great. I also have a collection of SACDs which can be played on either the Oppo or on an SACD player I have.

My oppo is set up for 2 channel, not 5.1 nor 7.1.

You don't need 5.1 or 7.1 to take advantage of HD files or SACD. I think your OPPO will play either. To try it out, just look on the Internet for some free HD files. Download them to a flash drive and plug it into you OPPO. It should play them, no problem. Or, try an SACD disk. Those are higher resolution.

When you say Hot Stamper do you actually pay Hot Stamper $$$ from their site or are you referring to needle drops from preferred vinyl pressings?

To keep it on topic, I've used my oppo mostly for SACD 2 ch and multi channel.
