My husband took tons of pics when he was in the navy only problem is he had them developed as slides..what a pain
I came across this little do hikky machine that can take the slide and upload it in picture format on your computer!

Anyone ever do this...is it worth the $99 bucks for this thing

I remember when slide scanners used to be over $1,000. They're kind of esoteric compared to flatbed scanners. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they're cheaper now.

One thing that they don't do is eliminate dust and fibers. Canned air and a brush is good for that.

You might want to look into the cost of having the slides converted to digital at a photo processor like Costco or WalMart. You could get at least a couple of hundred slides converted and save a lot of time for that $99.
