Good news for 4K TV owners. Samsung has introduced their Ultra HD Blu-ray disc player. UBD-K8500 It is full 4K resolution of 3840x2160 [only for playing 4K disc] It will automatically upconvert standard Blu-ray and DVD to near 4K picture quality. [Netflix and Amazon streaming is still compressed]
Price advertised at Crutchfield is $400

Between the players, the Dish TV channel that will begin this fall, and the plummeting price of the TV's it seems like it might finally be the time to strike.

With DISH, it will probably be a premium movie channel and remember, it won't be full 3840x2160 resolution. And, you will need a 4k receiver. And a two year contract.
