I asked this two years ago and got no helpful answer. When I watch the cable box, the TV's volume is set to 20-30 but when I play a DVD I have to turn it up much higher. If I watch the VCR I have to turn it up even more higher. Does this happen to anybody or just me?

It's a Samsung HD TV, Sony DVD and Sony VCR (with AV cables). The other two cords are HDMI.

There probably isn't a simple solution, since the volume of the various peripherals which are connected to your TV is determined by those peripherals.

Do you have this on your Samsung TV?

What is Auto Volume and how do I use it on my SMART TV?

I tried the AutoVolume and it made a small difference. There's still a large diff between the three devices.

each of my devices connected to my TV, DVD player, roku, chromecast, firestick, have their own default volume settings. Nothing we can do about it. It is painful, when I switch from my chromecast, the quietest, to the loudest, my DVD player.
