Anyone ever talk about CB radio and ham radio on this sub forum? Is it appropriate? Is there a more appropriate sub-forum for this subject?
Thanks

Not many cb/ham radio operators around these days. You might want to try hamradioforum.net

I am an advanced class amateur radio operator since the early 70's and there are still quite a few ham radio operators around but nowhere near as many as when I first started. As for talking on them, I still use 2 meters, 220 MHz and 440 MHz from time to time, no low band nowadays since I now live in a condo, and the activity is nothing like during the 70's, 80's and 90's when the airwaves were packed but there are still some of us around.

CB I am not sure about but I still see them advertised and long haul truckers still use them.

Ya CB is pretty quiet unless the skip is rolling.....

My antenna blew down years ago and I just didnt bother getting it back up. (Alot of ppl on 11m makes me mad as they dont care how bad they sound, who they splash, etc)

I consider myself a GOOD radio operator and most of those I heard on 11m are not!
