Because Fedex\UPS might break it? Really?
I've had so much stuff delivered over the years. It would make your head spin. Even a 55" TV. Not once has anything been broken because of the delivery guy.
The only time I shop at BB is if I need something RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE.
Which is rare, otherwise Amazon.
fedex and ups are very hard on packages, which is why packaging is as good as it is. Never had any shipping breakage either. Besides, the mfgr, seller and shipper all take responsibility for breakage.
I buy from whoever has the best price on the product I want.
I haven't had to purchase a TV yet but I've ordered lots of computers and just had a 100-lb portable AC unit delivered.
No problems so far.
I usually buy online, but I've found that Best Buy will price match NewEgg and Fry's if you ask them to check.
They can check right from their register.
I do it both ways. It just depends on who has the best price for the item I want. But in general, I prefer purchasing in the store because I get to see the item and ship it to my home myself. It's also easier to manage returning an item. And I hate waiting for days for something to be delivered. I like to buy my stuff NOW.
Amazon.
My last desktop was from Dell, though.
But usually amazon.
