Are you using the TV remote, pressing 'input', getting all options across top of screen, selecting HDMI3 ?
To what equipment does the HDMI cable get connected? On my Samsung, it's DVD-R/VCR combo

If HDMI3 is one of three ports on the TV/Recv then its board is shorting out. If not under warranty, there is not much a manufacturer can do for you. If you need a 3rd HDMI then go to ebay/amazon and purchase a HDMI splitter/switcher. If all three are on the same side of the TV/Recv expect the other two to fail soon.

The word "suddenly" in the thread title implies that it once did.

Try performing a factory reset, OP. It's not a guaranteed fix, but other than testing the same connection with a different HDMI cable, it's about the only troubleshooting option available to you.

Thanks all. Will do the factory reset tonight. Tried everything else. This will get it fixed soon one way or the other. 3 is the music port!
