Really? Why? How well do you think headphones will stay in your ears while swimming?

They sell waterproof headphones now.

(They being 3rd party manufacturers, not Apple)

If I HAD to listen to music while swimming (not sure why I'd want to with all the splashing noise) I'd just get a waterproof ipod shuffle and not deal with a plastic bag.
For my iphone, I use a Yosh dry bag but it doesn't allow you to connect anything through it. I think they do make bags that allow you to connect with the device inside but they're relatively expensive. Just make sure whatever you buy is IPX8 certified.
Here's one: http://aquapacusa.com/shop/waterproo...es-case-small/

Some of the waterproof cases, at least the LifeProof designed for the iPhone and other cellphones come with an additional headphone extension one must connect to the iPhone before getting in the water. But the LifeProof case costs around $89.00. I am certain that there are waterproof cases for the Nano.
