Looking to buy pure sine inverters for a large laptop and ink jet printer
By my reckoning a 300 watt unit should be more than adequate but larger units don't seem that much more expensive - and honestly I am thinking together they may draw no more than 150 but that larger units typically have the two plugs I need
It seems 1000 watts are not that much more expensive than 300 watts but then you get into the whole quality question. I look at Amazon reviews but is there other good info to help select or recommendations?
Also buying a deep cycle battery but I know how to do that, figure out amp hours and then realize the car may need to run during a long usage (This is for a search team for tailgate operations until the command units bring in the trailers, generators etc. so we may have to run up to 8 hours which to me means deep cycle batter on an isolator and running the engine every so often)
Would appreciate any and all suggestions. I think we have decided we do want pure sine wave though not 100% sure we need it with the current going through the power pack? Most say you do. I would like insight on that because I am not convinced we do

Sine will be gentler on the equipment. Modified sine might operate some things but the waveform is harsh enough that a lot of equipment will run hotter. With inverters, the rule is to buy the smallest that meets the need, as the losses in larger units waste power. Just get a cube outlet to plug into the one socket. You may already know, but with lead-acid you takes the rated Ah and cut it at least in half. Once a battery is discharged more than 50% it is damaged. Do it two or three times and it is ready for recycling.
Thanks, yes I knew that about deep cycle batteries. I was going AGM which you can cycle a bit deeper. Since the battery will be in an enclosed camper with dogs (everything is contained) I don't want offgassing
