I'm building a 3.1 set up for my large living room. The HT set up is used for 50/50 music and movies. I'm looking for a entry level subwoofer that can perform well for both music and movies.
Accurate? Do you mean frequency response? Without some lab equipment I wouldn't be able to tell you. I can only comment on what I have which is the Dayton Audio and I am more than satisfied. You could also do a little googling and look for reviews and/or specs on them. The Polk has great reviews both on Newegg and Amazon and I misspoke, the price is $199. Looks good to me but of course that's up to you.
This is the best bang for the buck subwoofer in your price range. If you're looking for accurate as in not muddy but rather tight bass, you're going to have to go up in price to get that.

Honestly, I wouldn't waste any money on the lower end subwoofers. Sorry, they just don't cut it. And if you have a large room. You are just throwing money away. I would not touch any subwoofer under $500 for a large room.
