Trying to cut the cable cord here....

Why in the world do I need a Kodi box when I can just plug my PC into my TV via HDMI?

I keep reading online that everyone is buying some Kodi box and installing Exodus on it and "loving it"

WTF are they talking about and how exactly is this any different from a fire stick, roku, or even plugging my PC into my TV via HDMI?

confused...

Because most people don't connect a PC to the TV...so they get a "Kodi box".
You can use your PC. No need for the box.
Exodus is an app you install in Kodi to, basically, steal TV and movies.

A Kodi box is an android based streaming player with the Kodi app installed. The Fire stick is an Android based streaming player with Amazon proprietary software installed and you can side load Kodi on a Fire stick too. Roku uses their own proprietary software and Kodi can not be installed on a roku but there are private channel that you can access on roku that have a lot of content. You can also cast/mirror your kodi content from your pc to your Roku. Exodus is a channel you can add to your Kodi install that has a huge amount of content. You could simply connect your Pc with Kodi installed to your tv and accomplish the same thing. Or you could use a Raspberry Pi to make your own Kodi box.

do a search for tvaddons teletube for kodi.. it will install everything you need on a PC.. no "kodi box" needed. It pretty much netflix without the monthly bills. I havent paid for tv in years because of this software.. Never home long enough to enjoy live tv, so why pay for it when this does me just fine.. Getting movies is just a bonus. If you can think of it, im sure its on there. If you need help setting it up, PM me and i be glad to walk you through it.
