Are "dumb" TV's still available? I can't seem to find a 4k TV w/o SMART features

Maybe you need to update your app or your smart TV. Ours update automatically though. And even though we have a smart TV is still hook up to a PC. LOL, I know defeats the purpose but the only app I ever use there is youtube.

Or maybe it's your internet connection that is slow.

^ if someone had an internet connection slowing apps on their smart TV, what would that do to streaming? Maybe we can take that off the list....
