Building a new home. The entertainment package /surround sound theatre package the builders sub contractor is offering is by Legrand. Listed specifically is Legrand/ONQ High Performance 5.1-5000 Series and then Kevlar Speakers. Can anyone tell me if this is a good system? Trying to research it and can't find any reviews for the Legrand stuff. We are trying to do our due dilengence before committing to this. Thanks!

There has to be a reason why you cannot find reviews. I would recommend against buying a full system from the sub contractor. They are not experts in AV, they build homes. Get the place fully wired for sure but wait and buy a high end audio/video system from a reputable manufacturer. If you want home automation that integrates with your audio/video there may be other options.

Here's a post from someone like you looking for info on Legrand ONQ. I am not familiar with it. I see if offers some kind of home automation but may be seriously lacking in the audio/video dept.

Get credit [cancel] from the builder for the surround system. Then have the electrician install [only] the wiring. The builder will have electric installed only to code. When you are with the electrician also tell them any extra electric outlets, fixtures you want. Minimum cable outlets are installed. Are you building in a 'cable' area? If not and need a sat, install two outlets at TV area for sat and antenna.
Get all electric installed before drywall.

In addition to electrical you will want to install speaker and ethernet cabling and any other AV cables that will be needed in the walls such as HDMI.
