My cable company is using an Arris DG2470 gateway combined dual band wireless access point, Moca 2.0 network generator, and 24x8 channel bonded DOCSIS 3.0 modem which they market as a "3 in 1".
It sucked big time. I was getting 7 Mbps download, and then it cut out entirely in less than 20 minutes. I returned it to the service center after 3 hours and demanded that they re-provision my older modem.
Is there anyone else with a similar experience with this piece of equipment?
Yeah, that is a piece of junk. I ended up purchasing my own cable modem and have had ZERO problems. I got the Arris SB6190, paired it with my ASUS RT-AC87R router and have never had any issues at all. They are both a few years old and going strong.
