I was given a wii game console years ago, and have actually used it to watch Netflix more than anything else, as I don’t have or want cable TV.

As of 1/30/2019, the wii will no longer support Netflix, and I’m not a gamer, so I don’t want a Playstation or anything like that, just want to continue watching Netflix.

What’s the cheapest gadget for this purpose? I’m not electronically inclined...a relative bought the wii and set it up years ago, and they’re traveling the world now, so can’t ask them. Thanks, anybody.

If you have a Netflix account, you should be able to access Netflix on all smart phones and tabs using Netflix app.
Or you can access the website on laptop.

I don’t own a smart phone, just want to know what kind of device will support Netflix on my TV, since the wii has become obsolete, I guess. I’m not finding that info on their website.

We have Apple TVs and like them a lot. It’s not a TV, it’s just a small box that attaches to your TV. There’s no ongoing cost for the box itself, once you buy it. It gives you access to Netflix and lots of others and you pay only for the services through it you want. It also lets you stream stuff from your iPad, if you have one.

What kind of TV is it and what inputs does it have?

If that is new TV it may already support Netflix, as an alternative if you may be in the market for a new TV you can buy one that supports Netflix and other services like that.

If none of that applies you would purchase one of the devices listed by some of the posters. If this is older TV make sure to check the available inputs, ideally you will want open HDMI input on the TV.
