I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. If not, please move it and pardon me for the error.

I need help. I've been looking for a new 13" TV/VCR combo for over a year. I think they are no longer being made by anyone.

Does anyone know where I could find one for sale?

I would Google 13 inch TC/VCR combo and see what hits you get.

Try Craigslist first.

I have googled until the cows came home. LOL.
Some sites claim to have them but when I get to the sites I find that they don't. I even bought a used one on ebay and it ate my tape just like the one I have is doing.

I really would not care all that much but I have hundreds of VHS movies and I don't want to go to the expense of replacing them with DVD or Blueray.

LOL. I called Best Buy and the lady that answered the phone started laughing when I asked about the TV. I mean, really, it's not like I'm looking for Beta players.

I'll give it a shot. I've never used Craig's list. If you happen to run across one on the list will you let me know. I can be in McKinney in about 45 minutes. heeheehee.

I'll check out the metroplex and see if there is a new one listed. Thanks for the advice.

Ketabcha,

I checked on Ebay, and there are quite a few decent used models relatively cheap. I highly doubt you will find a new one anymore, but at least a used model isn;t impossible to find.

With fingers crossed I have just purchased another one on ebay. I'm hopeful that this one will work. I found one with a warranty. Yippee! I'll report back when I get it.

Well, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but really, you kinda are. DVDs are on the cusp of obsolescence now and frankly VHS passed into the realm of quaint analog novelty some time ago.

I hope your new Ebay aquisition works for you, but if not, you should consider making the rounds at pawn shops and thrift stores and see if you can locate any in good condition and snap them up as backups or spare parts. You may also want to look into how to repair them if you are determined to stick with your VHS collection.

Last summer we replaced one with a LCD for the room. It's a Phillips, the remote on/off button doesn't work well, but they do sell them online for $40, which is a ripoff. I was told you can not use a universal remote with the combo TV.
Too bad you don't live closer.

I received the 2nd one I have purchased on ebay yesterday. On this one the VCR portion works but I can't get any channels on the TV. So, I am giving up. I'll just buy a regular 13" TV and plug a VCR into it.....sigh.
