Smile Putnam County Fair.

Activities begin Saturday; Opening ceremonies Aug. 2

PUTNAM COUNTY -- The start of the Putnam County Fair is only days away and organizers are still scrambling to get the grounds ready in time.

Gates for the annual event open on Saturday for the Draft Horse and Mule Show, but the fair doesn't officially begin until Aug. 2 with opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.

Still, crews have begun the final push, painting, cleaning the grandstands and preparing the cattle and chicken coops.

Default schedule

is there someplace I can find the full schedule of events for this year's fair? I've got a friend coming from Alabama to show a pony in the fair & I'd like to be able to tell her when the Open To The World horse show is! LOL

Default Thanks!

Thanks so much! I knew there was a website, but no matter how many different ways I googled it I couldn't find it again.

I have another quick question....what's up with Jackson County not having a fair anymore??? I live barely over the county line...one of those areas where we have a Cookeville address, but live in Jackson County. So I can't enter anything in the fair. Hardly seems right. (Yes, I'm pouting! LOL)
