We have been looking at the Cookeville area for some time now. We are hoping to be able to move there within the next few years. I like how all the posts I have been reading are positive. We'll be visiting next summer to check it out in person but I'm sure we are going to love it !

We've been there a few times looking at the area, houses, etc. and fell in love with it. We are currently trying to sell our house so we can make the move out there too. Haven't seen anything negative about the area. Looking forward to the move - hopefully sooner than later!

We would love to move now but have 2 grandchildren who are young so want to be here for them yet. Besides that, we are in Florida and it's going to be very difficult to sell our house.

Come on up, living couldnt be better, we retired here 6yrs ago from PA and wouldnt want to live anywhere else. They have everything here but Taylor Ham and a real Italian Deli ! Great hospital, cheap property tax, no annoying vehicle inspections, good people, and the list goes on.
Have the typical stupid criminals but they are everywhere now.
We drove down here and knew pretty much right away we would settle here. Bought a house before we even went back to PA, No regrets whatsoever !!
Cookeville, the best kept secret in the south !!

Moved to Cookeville six months ago after a five year wait to leave the west coast. The people are wonderful and Cookeville has everything you could want except a big mall. (Actually, you can be there in an hour, and let Nashville deal with the traffic.) We are the third couple in a group of friends to leave Calif and move to Cookeville. We live in White Plains Plantation and we honestly keep pinching ourselves that we have already made it to heaven. Come on over and have a great place for the grandkids to enjoy life. They have great schools here too.

I love all of Cookeville, but the White Plains area is one of my favorites. I'm so glad you have found your bit of heaven!
