We'd like to relocate to the Cookeville area. For the time being, we'd like to rent a house or mobile home, esp out in the country. I've tried online to look for home rentals but it's almost impossible. Are there decent home rentals there? Decent as in 3 bedrooms, more than 1000 sq feet and under $1000/month? Thanks !!

You can absolutely find homes to rent in Cookeville for less than $1000/month, especially if you're interested in renting out in the country. Cookeville does have its own craigslist page which might have some listings. Also check the local newspaper's online classifieds:
Herald Citizen - Online Edition - Cookeville, TN

Good luck!
