Default Apartments in cookeville

If I get the job that I am applying for, the office is in east cookville.

Can anyone reccommend any apartment complexes in that area? I'm looking for a one bedroom, and hte perfect apartment would have a dishwasher, washer/dryer and patio, but none of those are deal breakers.

I'm looking for something that I will feel safe in as a single, mid thirties woman, and am looking for preferably $600 or under.

You'll find PLENTY for 600 and under. In fact you'll find some pretty nice 1 bedroom apts even in the 400 dollar range. Check out Saxony Apts they are great. 2 pools, fitness center, great community. Also further away from the Tech area. Not hating on that area, I went to school there and lived off Dixie for 4 years. You find plenty of cheap apts but unless you are in to the party scene, noises, college students, etc then you'll want to stay away from that side of town. Also Chelsea Place is another nice area and more upscale. However for a one or two BR you'll still be below the 600 mark. Also stay away from Soard Properties. I had horrible experiences with them while going to Tn Tech. There is a ton of apartments to look at, most all Apts include water, WD H/Us and even Cable with the rent. Good Luck and welcome. For a small town it actually has quite a bit to do.

Thanks so much! This is exactly what I am looking for!! Places to check out, places to avoid. Growing up in the Seattle area, it's hard to imagine that one can rent a one bedroom for $400!!
