I'm gonna bet the first person in that line was the guy that tried so hard to keep the land from being developed in the first place .

The parking lot at Ckvl Walmart was empty at 10 am today, very few people inside, but that won't last long.

Did our usual Thursday grocery shopping at Jackson Plaza Food Lion. It was really quiet there; I guess that everyone was over at Publix. Haven't been shopping over there yet. Guess we'll hit it on Tuesday for some of the sale items we want.

The Publix store is nice and we did find a good deal on tea but overall their prices are higher than Kroger and I only go to Kroger (early in the morning) for the deals.

Some things are better at Kroger while other things are better at Publix. Kroger has better prices on their own brand items, e.g. cheeses, chips, paper and etc. but some Publix own brand items are more "gourmet." Kroger has better prices on meat from their butcher; however, Publix has things you cannot get from Kroger. Publix BOGOs are wonderful...and you only have to buy one to get it half price.

A building permit of just over $548,000 was pulled in August for Panera which will be located in the outparcel next to Steak & Shake facing Interstate Drive. Chipotle will be located in the same building.

Five other building permits totaling just over $1.4 million for Shoppes at Eagle Point were pulled last month, but the building permits don't indicate for what stores.

Just a follow-up re: Texas Roadhouse. My wife was scrolling through Facebook last night and one of her friends had posted a screenshot of indeed.com showing multiple listings for Texas Roadhouse in Cookeville. I looked at the Indeed website along w/ the Texas Roadhouse website and there are three management positions listed. However, we aren't listed on the opening soon list yet.
