What's the latest on the property located on the north/east corner of Jackson and Willow? It's looks like some activity is happening.

It looked like minor construction concerning that cut through street that has been closed, but I could be wrong. I believe it's still being sat on for speculative purposes when it should have been sold to the Shopping Center Group at the same bid amount.

I think that the contractor for paving Willow is parking his equipment on that property during the day. They are working at night. Only a guess but it looks like paving equipment.

I heard that the developer/architect of the proposed Holiday Inn on Willow @ I-40 is meeting with the city codes department next week. I hope this means we'll know more about this soon.

Driving past, you'll notice that the gas tanks were dug out. Doesn't appear to be a large foot print; I wonder how much height this building will have.

According to the property assessor's office, that parcel is 1.8 acres, but I'm pretty sure much of that isn't developable. If a developer is planning a hotel there, I'm betting they're including the adjacent property, that sliver between the old gas station and Waffle House. Either way, the fact that the gas tanks were removed is a good sign that whoever owns this is serious.
