Did anyone notice the commercial from the Super Bowl of the map monster for Garmin? It says "Cookeville" on its head. Here's a picture of it (the commercial is available at the Garmin web site):

Thumbs up Ooltewah.. MVP.?

J: You must have put VCR to use to catch fine print. ! Thought that ad was quite dumb. Letterman and Oprah was creative.
I'm sure the MVP of the game was our OOLTEWAH rancher. ? Just east of Chatanooga, south of Cleveland, good U.T quarterback. P. MANNING.

haha no I just went to the web site and captured a still image of the commercial.

Yeah I thought it was funny when Peyton Manning said that the win was for "the good people of Indianapolis" or something like that--yet Peyton lives in Southeast Tennessee and married a girl from Memphis.

Yeah Peyton meant "for the good people of Tennessee." He loves UT and Knoxville wayyyy more than he'll ever love the Colts and Indianapolis.

I saw that commercial too.
This year, I was really disappointed with the super bowl commercials.
Some of them were really dumb.

I hated the one with the half naked guys stripping and climbing all over that car. I know, some people thought it was funny, but, I thought it was inappropriate.... especially with children present.

I also thought Peyton did a GREAT job, and even though, he didn't credit Tennessee, he still did them proud.

I read an article about how a lot of them contained violence, even if they were meant to be in good humor. (People slapping each other, throwing rocks) with only a few pleasent ones (mainly Coke ones).

Default proposal commercial

Hey, did anyone hear about the guy that was raising the money to make a commercial to propose to his girlfriend during the Super Bowl?

I saw the story on the news, and they said he couldn't raise enough money and some millionaire stepped in to pay the rest.
They were supposed to show the commercial, with him asking his girl to marry him at the end.
No one was to know who he was to keep it a surprise.

Did anyone see the commercial?
I didn't..

so, I wondered if maybe his commercial was one that they cut.

anyone know?

They cut the commercial for Doritos nachos with the guy getting beat up by a giant mouse. About as stupid as the one with everyone slapping each.

The bottom one.

Lowest common denominator as usual...
