Looking for parents out there that know of good kid's consignment shops for clothes, books, and toys in the Putnam County/Cookeville/Sparta area. I have seen lots on the net for consignment "fairs" but am looking for a good store that I can visit on a weekly or every other week basis & set up an account. TIA!

I hear that Childrens Orchard is good. We have one here, but I haven't been yet. This one doesn't look too far away from the area you're looking for.

Cleveland is over two hours from Cookeville! Your best bet is to find some good yard sales. Ready, Set, Grow is also a popular consignment store.

I posted yesterday about Ready,Set,Grow being a good consignment store in Cookeville but then deleted it when I was informed by my wife that it wasn't an actual consignment store...They just have large consignment sales twice a year.But anyway,check for yourself...It's on South Jefferson just south of the courthouse square in the Towne Plaza shopping center(w/Hobby Lobby,DG Market etc...)

I was afraid there wasn't much around. If I have to drive to Nashville, I will.... I have a lot of items I actually consign and then use the credit to buy more stuff, but I am really fussy about it and need a good place that's going to carry a lot of boutique/designer stuff. That way you can get really good quality stuff at K-Mart prices... The place in Cleveland looks great but is a little far. Man, I didn't think there was 1 thing I was going to miss about Florida!
I will definitely look at Ready, Set, Grow, however. Thanks!

There are several consignment shops in Cookeville, but I don't know if any of them specialize in just children's clothes. It would be nice if you didn't have to make the trek to Nashville! But it's understandable if you do, and you could easily make a nice day of it, even stop by Whole Foods.

Bellena's is a new resale shop that has just opened on 14S Cedar (across from the train depot). Bellena's carries designer brands such as Strasburg, Sophie Dess, Gap, and Gymboree - all at great prices. Many items are new with tags. Also carries books, puzzles, etc. Check it out.
