It depends on where its at, is it on the bottom near the Fentress/Overton line, or is it on top near Clarkrange?

Folks you must remember these developers are wanting to SELL this land. They are telling you what you want to hear and if you knew most of them you would see there is ants all over the honey they are feeding you. Use your head and take off those rose colored glasses. I know what I paid for my land $2000. an acre 10 yrs ago and that is what they paid for what they are selling you for as high as 5 acres for $90,000. in some areas up here. The locals hate what is happening and it sure causes a lot of friction in this area.

Let me back up on that mileage. I hit the wrong key. Wilder is an estimated 40-45 miles to Cookeville. Depends on where you are located in Wilder and where you are going in Cookeville. Sorry

sign on hwy164 pointing to a road that states 5 acres starting at $90,000 and I have seen the signs elsewhere . sorry not trying to be arguementive( or however is spelled

This is a coal mining area . The mining shut down in the late 60s early 70s. A lot of the creeks etc have red rocks. That is from the mines in the area. Also a lot of the homes have red areas in their commodes and sinks etc. If that is not bad enough I know that some have spent thousands of dollars trying to drill wells to no avail. There is no water lines on Wilder Mt. that I know of and doubt there ever will be. Pretty YES. But pretty dont make for a good living. Visiting on weekends or vacation is one thing. Actually living there is another. BEWARE of these developers. Take it from someone that knows them.
