I noticed that a used books/dvd store is going in the old Phillips shoes store on Jefferson (on the left before you get to Walmart). Haven't been in there yet, but saw it yesterday!

The only three stores/places I miss from Michigan are Captain Nemo's Subs, Mr. Bulkys (Bulk Foods) and Randazzo's. It is a huge market with discount prices on Fruits, vegetables, seeds etc.

Yeah, Books and More is now open in the old Phillips shoe store building on Jefferson across from Radio Shack. We took 3 boxes of books in and now have a big credit to use for our next purchases. Nice, clean and friendly.
They also stock DVDs

My wish is for a Super Target
My wish would be for a business that brought a substantial amount of jobs to the area and that created green technology like wind turbines and solar panels. It may be wishful thinking, but just imagine the possibilities and the good that would come from it.

There actually is a company in Algood called Total Quality that has a division that sells windmills and solar panels.

Yes, my husband and I visited TQI before building our home. There were some excellent government incentives for the Wind Turbines. Unfortunately, the area where we are had minimal wind flow to offset the initial costs.

We had solar panels in our Florida home and transported them up to the new building site to help with our energy bills.
