Default schools in Corpus Christi?

We are looking to relocate to the Corpus Christi area. I have a 15, 10 and an 8 year old. I am concerned about schools. does anyone have info on scholls there(public or private)?
We are from the outskirts of the SF bay area.

Default corpus area

I am surprised nobody mentioned Orange Grove. about 20 miles NW of Corpus. originally settled by German settlers, it is rich in history and as someone else mentioned, a good mix of German and Hispanic population. If you want to do research, check the ratings of the school district. Continually getting academically recognized by the state. Very supportive community where the school is concerned. Jim Wells county will return lower taxes, and auto insurance cost.

yep totally agree with gee-on Orange Grove, and property taxes are WAY lower in Jim Wells County than Nueces County.
if you want to live in nice suburbia closer to Corpus, Calallen is great

Default So where did you end up?

Wow! I know I've discovered this thread almost a year after the first post- but I am curious where you ended up choosing to live?

What I wouldn't give to trade places with you. The only place I have seen so far that I would love to live (in Texas) is Fredericksburg!!!

The military put us here- and that's why we live in the "Bluff" area.

It's truly the "ugliest" place I have ever lived- by far.

There are wonderful people here, but there are also some very not-so-lovelies. I believe the pawn shops and the several dilapidated "saloons" help perpetuate those undesirables....not to mention there is a high level of poverty.

I could go on, but I won't....I hope that you chose Portland!!!!
