Default Ingleside, Ingleside by Bay, Aransas Pass

Ok I might have asked this before but can't find the thread. We came back from a trip to the Corpus Christi area and found houses we liked in Ingleside, Ingleside by Bay and Aransas Pass. They all seemed like nice subdivisions with the yards kept up, and houses looked nice. We still want to buy a house but now are thinking of having my son rent it out and not get renters we don't know. Are those areas better then looking in Corpus. The homes we saw in Corpus seemed to be run down, they were cheaper but then you have all the refineries around and I want to be close to the water too. Any feedback on this? thank you.

My grandfather used to live in a neighborhood not too far from ocean drive and the big cemetery there (In fact, he's buried in that cemetery). It's older ranch style homes, but they are large and well kept.
