They escort you home instead of arresting you. Biggest users of drugs are actually key allegro of all places. They love their coke. Parents openly allowing other parents children to come over to their house and get drunk and use drugs. That is a BIG problem in the town. Police doing nothing about it. Not my fault you don't know what goes on because you don't want to. Before you say none of this happens. I know for a FACT it does. Guess what I do for a living?

If you think Rockport is beautiful I have no clue where you have lived. The beach is one of the worst I have seen. The town itself is average at best.

This is true ,, I spent 20 years there also ,, tried to go many times. I am from Port A .. would have to live there when I would be really busy with my horses.. I agree with everything said here above .. I have been gone for three years .My horses live in Flour Bluff, farther away but worth it in no more traffic fines /intimidation for no reason .. I had taken the police to task when my divorce judge years back ordered my ex husband to get his things and leave , with law enforcement watching him he took everything I and my youngest daughter, had including my clothing, laptop , Tv EVERYTHING .... the cops at first denied this , then asked me if I was calling them a liar ( their words) ( I was there to file a police report on this) . Afterwards , I was stopped repeatedly.. I am still paying off fines . I tried to fight one and that made it worse . I'll never live there again...

Rockport may have been in the path or hurricanes more than Houston but the barrier islands and low water levels in the bay ( you can walk for miles in the bay) mean much less damage. I've been here for 3 of them and should never have evacuated except for the loss of electricity. Electric service is poor and if a bird sits on a electric line after he has eaten that's enough to stop power.
