Wanting to move to small Beach town between Port Aransas TX to South Padre TX
Does anyone have any advise on a small town where I can have privacy near the beach something off the beaten path. Don't need a big city near by. Will need a part time job but just want to get away from the City and be near the beach with crashing waves. Will need to rent. Please help.

There's beach all over the Rockport Area- both south and north of town. The EPA gave Rockport beaches its Blue Ribbon Award for environmental quality-- what more could you want? Rockport does have more men than women - that might not be fun but beach yes!

There is no small beach town between Port A and S. Padre Island really. It's all private ranch and public beach from Corpus to SPI unless you count Laguna Vista and Port Isbel. What's wrong with Port A? Nobody much cares what you do in Port A as long as there is no bloodshed. How much privacy do you need?

You could check out Port Mansfield. It's about 15 minutes north of Harlingen. It is on the coast but on the bay side I believe. But it's a small town. Good fishing.

Port A IS a small town on the beach!
Rent = varies
Crashing waves = YES
Uncrowded BEACHES = most of the year(except spring break, mem day, 4rth July, and labor day.
Come on down!

You can also check out Portland, Ingleside. Also consider the Padre Island area of Corpus... very nice.

I'm not sure where you are coming from but the others are correct - the Port A area (Rockport also) are basically almost villages. No big city, no strings of condos ... lots of beach. You may not be able to live "right" on the water but certainly within a very short walk. This is not Miami or Destin.

Port Aransas USED to be basically a village but no more .. I have lived there since 1981 and spent summers there since the 60's but the rents are so high I cant live there anymore .. 1200 for a closet ... and there are strings of condos ,, it is a shame ...
This man doesnt understand .. There are a million just like him living under the bridge in Flour Bluff that came here with the same intentions.To leave life behind and go live at the beach ....
If he should move to PA he will need more than just a part time job .
