txsizzler - be sure to check out the community center. It has to be one of the best public fitness centers for a town of Portland's size.

Thanks for reminding me, awecelot... I had forgotten about their fitness center there next to the City Offices. I have a brochure for it here, and it looks VERY reasonable as far as costs go. Portland seems to really care about the health styles of its citizens, with this program.

Welcome! Portland has a great small town feel as you said. I purchased a new car in Portland shortly after moving to CC so have been to Portland often, love the chinese food at the China Buffet in Portland as well.

I understand that the Bahia Marina in Ingleside hosts some great dances and celebrations. It looks like they have one coming up July 11th.

I love clearwire ,, i have used it for almost two years ... We are in Waco for a year long work assignment and I use the same account here,, I just plugged in and went ...

I know what you mean about that bundle package ,, we tried that in 2007 on the island and ended up cancelling and paying a huge fine ,, but I didnt care .. Ill never do that again .. we went with Direct TV there ... My husband is dutch and could only see his european rugby on their setanta ( sp) network
