I will say that I agree with your realtor that Nueces Coop is on the higher side. We were with them from 2001-2002, so it was a while ago but it was definitely more expensive. The thing I like about Ambit is that you do get some pretty neat rewards. Just for signing up with them we got a free hotel room to use in select cities. I think we're going to use that in San Antonio this summer. You also get rewards if you recommend someone to them. I've never heard of Green Mountain though!

I switched from CPL to Reliant and have been happy with them. I didn't do much shopping around though. I, too, was po'd at CPL and just picked the first electric company that came to mind.

wow, corpus is getting screwed by energy rates. The cheapest rate is like 8.9 cents/kWh. In austin the lowest rate is 3.5c and the highest is 5 cents.

Am I reading the power to choose site incorrectly?

I'd keep NEC. I'd much rather they get my money than CPL.

One word,,, "Reliant Energy". We have a 2100+ Sq Ft house and our electric bill runs less than $200 a month.
