Unassigned seats, aircraft carrier landings, pilots that think they are "so cool" over the PA system...it's like a cattle call.

Default Update

Ok Southwest is back up online for service from Midland to CRP--there are two choices and the lowest fare is $109 each way. I also noticed AA and Con. have both lowered there fares as well. Will be booking it today before it changes again!!

Since you prefer not to fly SWA, you're probably not aware that the "cattle call" boarding system was replaced last year with one where passengers board in the order they check in. The seats are still unassigned, because that enables the crew to keep the gate turnaround time at 20 minutes or less. A plane that's sitting at the gate is less profitable than one that is in the air.

I have had better and more consistent and positive experiences flying Southwest then I have most other airlines. I fly mostly out of Austin to numerous SW US cities.

I haven't flown SW yet, but am looking forward to it in March (husband and I are going to Vegas, woohoo!). Everyone I have spoken to and reviews I've read have had a LOT of positive feedback and quite frankly, I don't feel the need to pay 25%-50% more for airline tickets from another airline.
