Need Apartment Rental Info - Please help
I just received a job offer at NAS in corpus chriti. I plan to relocate to this city sometimes in Octocber. I don't know much about this city and only have been there a couple time. Can anyone please tell me a decent apartment for rent around the navy base area (around 20 miles)? I can only spend around $500/month or less on apt. rental. I was at CC last couple weeks, but didn't have time to look for an apt. I saw new apartments located by I-358 and Ennis Joslin Road. Do you know the rental rate for these apartments? Can you point out safe areas for me to concentrate on looking for the apt. or a house in the near future?
Any info that you can offer regarding the apt., housing, safe place to live is greatly appreciated.

Apartments - Portland, TX
Assuming you are talking about the base on the East side of the bay. Portland is real close to the base and has a good reputation.
There is a small navy installation on the West side of the bay also.
